The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our growing Technology team and help shape the future of the platforms that power student and partner experiences across Keypath Education.
In this role, you'll act as the critical link between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating strategic priorities into clear, actionable work that delivers meaningful outcomes. You'll own the product backlog, guide agile delivery, and ensure initiatives are prioritised to maximise business value while balancing operational needs.
Initially focused on Keypath's internal systems and CRM ecosystem, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Genesys Cloud CX, you'll partner with cross-functional teams across the organisation to deliver innovative solutions that support growth, efficiency, and exceptional user experiences.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically savvy Product Owner who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys influencing product direction, delivery practices, and business outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own, maintain and prioritise the product backlog, balancing strategic initiatives, business-as-usual enhancements, technical improvements, and defect resolution.
Translate business goals, user needs and stakeholder feedback into well-defined epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, ensuring the team is set up for successful delivery.
Partner closely with engineers, architects and stakeholders to assess solution options, identify dependencies, evaluate trade-offs and support informed decision-making.
Ensure functional and non-functional requirements are clearly understood, including security, privacy, performance and supportability considerations.
Provide visibility of delivery progress, priorities, risks and dependencies to stakeholders and technology leadership.
Coordinate user acceptance testing, release readiness and operational handover activities to ensure successful implementation.
Act as a subject matter expert for supported platforms and business processes while continuously building knowledge across new systems and technologies.
Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, team effectiveness and agile ways of working.
About You
You are a collaborative and commercially minded Product Owner who enjoys solving complex problems, working closely with technical teams, and delivering products that create real business value. You can confidently navigate conversations with both business stakeholders and engineers, translating between strategic objectives and technical execution.
You will bring:
5+ years' experience working with software engineering or technology teams as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, Delivery Lead, or similar role.
Demonstrated experience owning and prioritising a product backlog within an Agile environment.
Strong experience translating business requirements into delivery-ready user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements.
A solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and Agile delivery methodologies.
Technical knowledge across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, integrations, APIs and data flows that enables effective collaboration with engineering teams.
Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and driving continuous improvement within delivery teams.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Strong prioritisation and decision-making capabilities, balancing competing demands, dependencies and business outcomes.
The ability to quickly learn new systems, technologies and business domains.
Experience with Microsoft technologies and enterprise platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, will be highly regarded.
